Umm Al Quwain to Open Glass-Domed Mangrove Glamping Retreat

Umm Al Quwain will soon have a glass-domed mangrove glamping site, which is part of the emirate's plans to invest in environmentally friendly tourism projects.

The glamping site is called Luxeglamp UAQ and is nestled among mangrove trees and is scheduled to open in early 2025.

Indian company Luxeglamp will launch this project and the Umm Al Quwain site is the company's third glamping site after its sites in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu and in Munnar, Kerala.

The glamping site is located alongside a coastline, providing access to a wide range of land and water activities.

The Luxeglamp UAQ is exclusive as it only has ten domes that will provide stunning views of the mangroves and the Arabian Gulf.

Each accommodation is 1,000 square feet, featuring a terrace with a wooden patio, plunge pool, hammock, and private sauna.

Luxeglamp UAQ will also have its own spa and on-site restaurant, which will be open to the public.

Environmental conservation will be an important part of the development of the glamping site including solar power, greywater treatments, a no single-use plastics policy, and no permanent construction to avoid disturbance to the physical environment.

The development of this glamping site aligns with Umm Al Quwain's commitment to responsible tourism.
