UAE to Launch Unified Licensing for Healthcare Workers

The UAE is preparing to introduce a nationwide platform to streamline the licensing process for healthcare professionals, according to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP). The system aims to standardize and simplify procedures, making it easier for medical professionals to work in both public and private healthcare facilities across the country.

One Platform, Unified Process

Alla Mansour Yahya, acting director of the Licensing and Accreditation Department at MoHAP, stated that the initiative consolidates licensing efforts across all health entities in the UAE. Currently, each entity follows its own set of rules, creating inconsistencies and repetitive processes for professionals.

"This project will unify licensing procedures and reduce redundant requirements, making the process more straightforward for healthcare workers," Yahya explained.

Faster Licensing, Broader Opportunities

While an exact launch date for the platform has not been disclosed, Yahya confirmed it is in the final stages and will be rolled out soon. The unified system will significantly cut down the time and effort required for health professionals to obtain licenses, allowing them to practice more efficiently across various facilities.

Targeting a Wide Range of Professionals

The platform is designed for healthcare sector stakeholders, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, allied medical specialists, technical staff, and facility owners. It promises to enhance the overall user experience and speed up the licensing process by eliminating unnecessary steps and standardizing procedures.
