The UAE Cabinet has approved the country’s largest federal budget to date, allocating Dh71.5 billion for 2025. This decision, made on Tuesday, showcases the UAE’s economic strength and sustainable resource management.

Biggest Budget in UAE History

The 2025 federal budget surpasses the previous year’s Dh64.06 billion allocation. This marks a notable increase, demonstrating the country’s focus on growth and development. Compared to 2022, when the UAE allocated Dh252.3 billion for 2023-2026, the latest budget shows a continued commitment to building the future.

Focus on Social Development and Government Affairs

A significant portion of the 2025 budget will be directed towards social development and pensions, receiving 39% of the total, while government affairs will account for 35.7%. Authorities revealed that Dh25.57 billion will be dedicated to these sectors, highlighting the UAE's ongoing efforts to improve citizens' well-being.

Key Allocations for Social Development

Within the social development fund, Dh27.859 billion has been allocated to various essential programs:

- Dh10.914 billion for public and higher education

- Dh5.745 billion for healthcare and community prevention

- Dh3.744 billion for social affairs

- Dh5.709 billion for pensions

- Dh1.746 billion for public services

Investments in Other Sectors

Additionally, 4% of the budget, or Dh2.864 billion, will go towards financial investments, while 3.6% (Dh2.581 billion) is set aside for infrastructure and economic development. Other federal expenses will amount to Dh12.624 billion, comprising 17.7% of the total budget.

This historic budget allocation is expected to drive continued progress across multiple sectors, positioning the UAE for future growth.
