UAE Allocates Dhs2 Billion to Support Rain-Affected Citizens

The UAE government has announced a Dhs2 billion fund to aid citizens whose homes were damaged by a recent severe storm. The storm brought over a year's worth of rain in one day, leading to flooding, travel disruptions, and significant property damage across the country.

Damage Assessment and Relief Efforts

A ministerial committee will assess the damage and coordinate compensation with federal and local authorities. The committee includes representatives from all seven emirates and is led by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure.

Swift Government Response

During a cabinet meeting chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, the relief fund was approved to support citizens affected by the natural disaster.
