These Beach Essentials Should Be in Your Bag This Summer

A beach excursion is definitely something to look forward to. You have settled on a glam swimsuit that you feel confident in, and stylish new sandals, but what other necessities do you need for a day at the beach?

Waterproof Sunscreen

Of course, one of the top beach bag necessities is waterproof sunscreen! The difference between the regular sunscreen and the waterproof sunscreen is that the latter feels really light and leaves no residue and is long lasting.

Lip Balm/Sunscreen

While you are at it, be sure to bring sun protection for your lips too to avoid ending up with burned lips. Make sure to apply this every few hours when out in the sun. I personally have learned this the hard way. 

Beach Towels

If you are always in the water or sweating, consider a beach towel in your beach bag that is quick-dry. It dries quickly and sand brushes right off. 

Sand Proof Beach Blanket

Perhaps you would prefer a beach blanket to relax in the sand. So make sure to choose a beach blanket that is sand-free, quick-drying, and lightweight. It is easy to clean as you can brush off the sand without effors, and it will not need to be dried after use on the beach. 

Sun Hat/Baseball Cap

Shade your face and head from the sun and wind with a cute sun hat. Straw hats are very fitting for the beach and look fashionable with swimwear, but you can also wear a baseball cap that is more comfortable.

Stay hydrated with a double-walled stainless steel water bottle. They keep our water cold on hot days. You can have ice cubes not melt in this bottle for over 48 hours!

Sunglasses

Keep your eyes away from direct sunlight. Sunglasses will also prevent you from squinting your eyes, hence, they will keep you away from fine eyes around your eyes from a day at the beach.

Cover-Up

You will need a cover-up depending on what you wear to the beach, but luckily they are so light and easy to pack. They can be worn anywhere you stop before or after the beach, like a cafe. They are fashionable and modest at the same time. I personally like to pack a style that is like a dress or a cardigan.

Water Shoes

Water shoes are so useful for so many purposes, both on land and on the sea. They will save your feet at a water park and a rough beach. Water shoes are very helpful when walking to and from the beach because hot sand can burn your feet. 

Snacks

Stay full for long hours in the sun with munchable snacks that are easy to pack. You can take individual popcorn bags on hand, almond packets or any nuts you like.
