Sheikha Mozah Shares a Viral Video of Her First Flight as a Pilot

Sheikha Mozah bint Marwan Al Maktoum, a Dubai royal, reminisced on Sunday on her first passenger flight when she was just 19 years old in a throwback video that recently went viral.

Sheikha Mozah has a history of setting records. She became the first member of the royal family to hold a commercial pilot's license and the first woman to fly an AW609 tiltrotor last year.

The royal pilot said on Instagram that she was "extremely grateful" and was spotted walking down the aisle of the plane appearing rather emotional and wiping away tears. Nearly 8,000 people, including the Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, liked the post.

Sheikha Mozah became the youngest student enrolled at Oxford Aviation Academy, one of the world’s leading commercial pilot training schools, at just 17. She was also the first woman to attain the position of First-Lieutenant Pilot with the Dubai Police.
