Various shops were burnt in a fire in Sharia Market, Al Dhaid City on Thursday, Jul. 25.

The Ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi has ordered the relevant authorities to restore the damaged shops within three days.

The shops will also be provided with furniture and air conditioning.

Sheikh Dr. Sultan has also launched a new project for a new, permanent market, which will feature 60 commercial shops made of concrete, replacing the old market where the shops were built from palm leaves.

The affected shop owners in the fire incident will be given new shops in the new market. There were no casualties during the incident, but the cause of the fire has not yet been determined at the time of writing this article.
