RTA Offers 'Golden Chance' to Apply for New Driving License

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced offering expats a 'golden chance' to obtain a driving license without taking any prior training.

Expats must have a valid license from their home countries, and after that, they have to pass the RTA driving tests - theory and road test - in one take.

If applicants fail the test, they will have to enroll for regular classes.

The RTA said that this golden chance initiative is now available at all driving centers. It came into effect on April 1st.

Costs are expected to be around Dh2,200 covering fees for opening a file, tests, and license issuance.
