RTA Announces Bus Route Suspensions for New Year Festivities

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced changes to public transport schedules, including the suspension of select bus routes during New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Bus Route Suspensions

The following routes will be temporarily halted from December 31 to January 1:

  • E100: Al-Ghubaiba Bus Station (alternative: E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station)
  • E102: Al-Jafiliyah Bus Station (alternative: Ibn Battuta Bus Station)

Passengers are advised to use the recommended alternatives to avoid disruptions to their travel plans.

Metro Runs Nonstop

For those opting for rail travel, the Dubai Metro’s Red and Green Lines will operate continuously for 43 hours, starting at 5:00 a.m. on December 31 and running through until 11:59 p.m. on January 1. This extended service aims to accommodate the surge in commuters during the New Year celebrations.

Plan Ahead

Travelers are encouraged to plan their routes in advance, utilizing RTA’s apps or customer service for real-time updates. With alternative bus routes and round-the-clock Metro operations, navigating the city during the festive period is made more accessible than ever.

Dubai continues to prioritize convenience for residents and visitors, ensuring seamless mobility during the city’s iconic New Year celebrations.
