1 pound (450g) Freshly Ground Beef
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
4 slices Cheddar Cheese (or any preferred cheese)
2 Burger Buns (brioche or potato rolls recommended)

2 Tomato Slices

2 tablespoons Ketchup

  1. Preparing the Perfect Beef Patty

    Take 1 pound (450g) of freshly ground halal beef and place it in a mixing bowl. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of halal salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper over the beef. Mix the seasonings into the beef gently but thoroughly, ensuring an even distribution of flavors. Divide the seasoned beef into two equal portions and shape them into round patties, slightly larger than the burger buns. Place the patties on a plate and set them aside while you prepare the other ingredients.
  2. Getting the Buns Ready

    Slice the halal burger buns in half horizontally to create the top and bottom halves. If desired, lightly toast the buns on a skillet or a grill for a touch of crispiness.
  3. Melting the Cheese to Perfection

    Lay a slice of halal cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese) on top of each beef patty. Preheat the oven or broiler to a low setting or set a metal dome cover over the patties on the grill to trap heat. Place the cheese-topped patties in the oven or under the broiler, or cover them with the dome on the grill for about 2 minutes or until the cheese melts and becomes gooey.

    Take the bottom half of the burger buns and lay a handful of fresh lettuce leaves on top. Add 2 slices of ripe tomato and 4 slices of halal pickles on top of the lettuce. If desired, add sautéed halal mushrooms, caramelized halal onions, or avocado slices for extra flavor and texture. Place the cheese-covered beef patty on top of the toppings.
