Private Schools in Dubai Get Higher Ratings for Inclusive Education

For the 2022–2023 academic year, 74% of Dubai schools received a rating of "Good" or above for their inclusion provision, which means students of determination with the will to achieve their goals now receive better inclusive education.

This is supported by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority's (KHDA) most current data, which shows that 146 schools received this ranking, an increase from the 121 schools noted during the previous complete inspection cycle in 2018–19.

From 7% to 12%, the percentage of schools with an "Outstanding" rating for their inclusive education approach has almost doubled.

“A true mark of a high-quality education sector is in how well it inspires and enables students of all abilities to strive for their best. Private schools in Dubai have made great progress in reducing barriers to learning and ensuring equitable access to education," said Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, Director General of KHDA.

24 schools were given the overall 'Outstanding' rating for their inclusive education initiatives, along with 48 receiving the 'Very Good' and 75 receiving the 'Good' ratings. 45 schools received an "Acceptable" rating for their ability to provide students of determination.

The evaluation of schools covered a wide range of topics, including modifying the curriculum to match the needs of the students.

66 percent of schools received a Good or higher grade in this category, which is an improvement from 55 percent in 2018–19. Furthermore, from 5% in 2018-19 to 10% in the present year, the percentage of schools getting the Outstanding rating for curriculum improvement has doubled.
