Morocco to Sell Legal Cannabis-Based Products

Moroccan pharmacies will sell legal cannabis-based products from mid-June, according to a new law.

The new law, 13-21,  allows the sale of cannabis-based products under strict regulations.

These legal cannabis-based products include cosmetics and dietary supplements like chocolate bars and candies.

The pharmacies will stock nine dietary products and ten cosmetics products, which have been approved by the Directorate of Medicines and Pharmacy (DMP).

These products will contain CBD, which is a non-psychoactive component of cannabis, with low THC levels.

THC is a substance in cannabis that causes the consumer to get high. Dietary supplements with less than 0.3 percent THC are safe for use and cosmetics with 0 percent are allowed to be used.

To ensure the safety and control of the sales of these products, they will be sold only in pharmacies.

The National Agency for the Regulation of Cannabis-Related Activities (ANRAC) oversees the regulation and cultivation of cannabis.

The ANRAC also ensures that cannabis-based products meet legal requirements before they are sold to consumers.

The controlled distribution of these products will be implemented to avoid misuse of these products.
