Dubai World Cup 2025: New Delayed Gate Opening Announced

If you're planning to attend the Dubai World Cup 2025 today—Saturday, April 5—take note: the event's start time has officially been pushed back. Originally scheduled to begin at 1pm, the gates will now open at 2:30pm, with the first race kicking off at 4:35pm.

One of the UAE’s biggest social and sporting events, the Dubai World Cup blends elite horse racing with fashion, entertainment, and luxury dining, drawing crowds from across the region and beyond.

Sheikh Rashed Bin Dalmook Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Racing Club, addressed the adjustment, saying, “Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of horses, jockeys and guests is our top priority. The decision to shift the timing reflects our full commitment to delivering a spectacular and safe experience for everyone involved.”

Updated Key Timings for Dubai World Cup 2025:

  • Gates open: 2:30pm

  • First race: 4:35pm

  • Dubai World Cup race: 9:30pm

For racegoers heading to Meydan Racecourse, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recommended using public transport to help reduce traffic congestion.

Whether you're there for the thrill of the races or the showstopping outfits, don’t forget to adjust your plans—and get ready for an unforgettable day at the track.
