LSL CAPITAL to open doors to Jamavar Dubai on 30th August

LSL Capital, a Mayfair-born collection of luxury restaurants, is bringing its Michelin-starred fine dining concept Jamavar to Opera District, Dubai. Co-founded by celebrated hospitality entrepreneur Samyukta and her father Dinesh Nair, from the founding family of The Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts, LSL Capital has garnered and established a global reputation combining world-class culinary talent with meticulously curated design, culminating in an inimitable dining experience across their portfolio. 

Opening doors on Friday 30th August 2024, Jamavar Dubai is located at the Address Residences Opera District on The Boulevard. Set against a palatial backdrop inspired by the Viceroy’s home in New Delhi, Jamavar Dubai features a glamourous dining room, a boutique cocktail bar, and a residential outdoor terrace. Helmed by Culinary Director Surender Mohan, the menu at Jamavar Dubai is presented as a gastronomic journey with dishes inspired from the royal kitchens of Northern India and the coastal cuisine of its Southern states.  

Mohan’s culinary creativity is taken forward by Jamavar Dubai’s Executive Head Chef Purushotham Naidu, a master himself in South Indian cooking, who serves up a distinctive array of aromatic flavors crafted using authentic cooking techniques alongside treasured recipes from the Nair family archives taught to him by the matriarch Leela Nair herself.  Exclusive to Jamavar Dubai, new additions spotlighting South Indian cuisine include the Andhra Lamb Uttapam slow cooked in Guntur spice, green chilli & curry leaves; Kochi Tawa Fish with a side of Kosambri, Crab Pepper Masala, shallots & garlic, and the Hyderabadi Pathar Gosht, an A5 wagyu hot stone & bone marrow salan and Kerala Chicken Biryani.                

Furthermore, for the very first time Jamavar Dubai will present The Viceroy’s caviar selection featuring paneer stuffed baby kulchas with a choice of Oscietra or Beluga caviar alongside traditional condiments. Signature classics such the Chandni Chowk ki Aloo Tikki, Kid Goat Shami Kebab, Malai Stone Bass Tikka, Old Delhi Butter Chicken, Leela’s Lobster Neeruli, and Dal Jamavar, also find their rightful place on the menu. To complement the culinary offering, Jamavar Dubai’s boutique cocktail bar will feature specials such as, The Royal Tuxedo, Cardamom Gin & Kesar Vodka, Italicus; Boulevard Negroni Strawberry Gin, Pandan Vermouth, Campari and Cherry Chilli Margarita.  

Jamavar Dubai will be the 3rd international outpost of the critically acclaimed brand. Having opened the first on Mayfair’s glamorous Mount Street in 2016, Jamavar London received a coveted Michelin star within the first year of its opening, followed by the launch of Jamavar Doha at the Sheraton Grand Resort and Hotel in 2021.
