India Defeats US and Advances to the T20's Super 8 Stage

India defeated the US by seven wickets and advanced to the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup 2024.

The match took place at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York, US on Wednesday, Jun. 12.

The US batted first and scored 110 runs with eight wickets taken in 20 overs. Nitish Kumar top-scored for his team with 27 runs. 

Arshdeep Singh helped the Indian team secure four wickets in his four overs, which got him the Player of the Match award.

When Suryakumar Yadav batted, he secured fifty runs and Shivam Dube scored 31 runs, which helped the Indian team defeat the US in 18.2 overs with 10 balls to spare. 

India's next match is against Canada on Sat. Jun. 15, while the US' next match is scheduled against Ireland on Friday, Jun. 14.
