H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Dedicates Accession Day to Sheikha Hind

In a heartfelt tribute, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, dedicated his 19th Accession Day to his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum.

Celebrated annually on January 4, Accession Day typically features national initiatives, but this year, Sheikh Mohammed honoured Sheikha Hind’s contributions to Emirati society, her humanitarian efforts, and her role in fostering family values by launching ‘Thank You Sheikha Hind’ campaign.

A Legacy of Compassion and Support

Sheikh Mohammed described Sheikha Hind as his “greatest supporter” and “the soul of Dubai,” highlighting her influence in shaping their children’s values and strengthening family bonds. Sheikha Hind’s work includes initiatives that uplift youth and ensure a dignified life for all citizens.

Humanitarian Leadership and Recognition

Known for her philanthropy, Sheikha Hind spearheaded transformative campaigns such as the ‘10 Million Meals’ initiative, the UAE Food Bank, and the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Holy Quran Competition. She has received numerous accolades, including the Islamic Personality of the Year and the Arab Woman Award for Humanitarian Action.

Empowering Families and Women

Sheikha Hind champions family stability through projects like the Dubai Weddings programme, which facilitated over 340 marriages in 2024. She also promotes women’s empowerment through sports initiatives like the Sheikha Hind Women’s Sports Tournament, encouraging active and healthy lifestyles.

A Tribute to a Lifelong Companion

“Sheikha Hind is the most beautiful thing in my life, my greatest supporter, and the mother of sheikhs,” Sheikh Mohammed shared in a touching Instagram post, accompanied by a video dedicated to her achievements.

This year’s Accession Day stands as a testament to Sheikha Hind’s enduring impact on Emirati society, blending tradition with a commitment to humanitarian progress and community welfare.
