Gitex Global 2024 is set to welcome thousands of visitors next week, running from October 13-18. With the event taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and Dubai Harbour, heavy traffic is expected. To make your journey smoother, authorities are urging attendees to use public transport.

Public Transport Is Key

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) encourages everyone to use the Metro, which will operate as usual. They will also adjust services to reduce waiting times if passenger numbers increase. Shuttle buses will be available to transport visitors between DWTC Metro Station and Max Station, as well as between Gitex parking areas.

For example, those approaching the Financial Centre area can take Al Mustaqbal Street from Al Meydan Street or Al Sukuk Street from Sheikh Zayed Road.

Dubai Harbour will also experience increased traffic during the event. Shuttle buses will be available to transport visitors from Palm Jumeirah’s multi-storey car park and Nakheel Metro Station. Marine transport services will operate from Skydive parking to the event site.
