Football Star Mohamed Salah Wowed Fans at Sharjah Book Fair

Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah wowed fans on the last day of the 2024 Sharjah Book Fair.

The Liverpool forward visited the Sharjah Expo Center on Sunday, Nov. 17 and was welcomed by a sea of fans, waiting to catch a glimpse of the athlete. 

During his session, Salah talked about drawing inspiration from books and about authors he likes to read including American author Tony Robbins.

When he joined Chelsea in 2014, Salah was not selected as part of the lineup initially. However, he did not despair and turned to books to increase his knowledge and expand his horizons.

The football star talked about how reading has become an important part of his life, hoping to inspire the youngsters in the audience to pursue reading too. 

Salah plays as a forward for Liverpool FC in the English Premier League and the Egypt national team. He joined Liverpool in 2017 after Roma. 

Nicknamed the "Egyptian King," Salah has won numerous accolades, including multiple Golden Boots and league titles.

His contributions on and off the pitch have made him a global icon, celebrated for his humility, philanthropy, and role in inspiring millions across the Arab world and beyond.
