The UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has confirmed that June 30, 2024, was the final deadline for companies to meet their Emiratisation targets for the first half of the year. The ministry aims to increase the number of UAE citizens in skilled jobs by 1 percent at companies with over 50 employees.

Verification and Compliance

Starting today, July 1, MoHRE will begin checking if companies have met their required Emiratisation targets. Businesses that fail to comply will face financial penalties. The ministry emphasized that it will closely monitor and enforce these targets to ensure compliance.

MoHRE praised companies that have successfully met their Emiratization goals. It stressed the importance of registering Emirati employees in a pension fund and the Wage Protection System (WPS). These measures are crucial for maintaining the growth achieved by June 30.
