DXB Announces the Restoration of the Full Flight Schedule

The Dubai International Airport (DXB) announced that it is operating at full capacity again after the disruption caused in operations by the heavy rainfall in the UAE last week.

Chief executive of Dubai Airports Paul Griffiths announced that the full flight schedule has been restored and DXB is back to 1,400 flight movements per day.

The roads around the airport are 100 percent clear of water accumulation, therefore the airport's logistics and facilities are operating as usual.

DXB revealed that they cancelled 2,155 flights and diverted 115 flights last week because of the water accumulation after the heavy rainfall.

The airport authorities also distributed 75,000 welfare packs to affected travellers last week.

A total of 31 flights were diverted from DXB to Dubai World Central (DWC) and by Friday, Apr. 19, all passengers at DWC were supported and and continued to complete their travel plans.

Griffiths advises passengers to arrive at the airport terminals only three hours before their flight departure time.
