Dubai to Increase Salik Toll Gate Prices During Rush Hours

Dubai will increase the Salik toll gate costs during rush hours, from AED 4 to AED 6.

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said that the new price will be implemented from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Outside of peak hours, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., the Salik toll gate cost will remain AED 4.

The toll gate cost will be AED 4 on Sundays as well. The cost of crossing the Salik toll gate will be free only between 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.

This decision has come after two toll gates were recently opened in Dubai. The variable rates will be implemented at the end of January 2025 and are part of a strategy to enhance traffic flow. 

The RTA has also increased parking rates to AED 6 per hour for premium spaces and to AED 4 per hour for public spaces during morning and evening peak hours.

The tariffs will remain the same during off-peak hours. Parking will be free from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. and on Sundays. 

Parking charges will be increased to AED 25 per hour for the event zones, which will first be introduced at the Dubai World Trade Centre in February 2025.
