Dubai is embarking on a major environmental initiative to plant over 100 million mangrove trees along its coastline as part of the Dubai 2040 Master Plan. The project, led by URB, seeks to enhance sustainability in the city and promote net-zero development.
Key Environmental Impact
The mangroves are projected to remove CO2 emissions equivalent to what is produced by over 260,000 gasoline-powered passenger vehicles each year. They will also serve as a natural barrier against rising sea levels.
