Dubai Celebrates Pakistan Independence Day with 12-Hour Fest

Dubai will host the largest-ever celebration of Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day on August 11 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Organized by the 'Emirates Loves Pakistan' page in collaboration with the Pakistan Association in Dubai (PAD), the event will feature a 12-hour cultural and musical extravaganza.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE's Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, will serve as the chief guest, joined by prominent figures like Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan's Ambassador, and cricketer Shahid Afridi. The celebrations will also see performances by renowned Pakistani singers Shehzad Roy, Hadiya Hashmi, and the band Khumariyaan.

The event, dubbed ‘Jashan-e-Azadi Pakistan,’ is expected to draw around 15,000 attendees. It will showcase Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage through traditional performances, art exhibitions, and food stalls, reflecting the deep-rooted ties between the UAE and Pakistan.

The UAE-Pakistan relationship, established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in 1971, continues to flourish, highlighted by the UAE’s recent $10 billion investment in Pakistan’s economy.

The festivities will begin at 11 am and continue until 11 pm, with registration required for entry.
