Dubai Airport Gets Ready for Emirati Pilgrims Travelling for Hajj

Dubai's Airport authorities have made preparations for Emirati pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia for Hajj, which is expected to begin on Jun. 26.

Around 3,100 citizens will fly to KSA from the Dubai International Airport as flights will take off on Tuesday, Jun. 20.

The UAE has been allocated 6,228 pilgrims for the 2023 Hajj season.

A special committee has been established including the Dubai police, health workers, immigration authorities, and airline staff to help manage the increased number of passengers at the Dubai Airport.

Certain counters are designated for Hajj pilgrims at check-in, passport control, and security at Dubai Airport's three terminals.

The airport authorities have streamlined the procedures to quicken the entry and exit procedures for Hajj pilgrims.

Pilgrims will start departing for Saudi Arabia on Jun. 20 and the last flight for the Kingdom will depart on Jun. 24.

Hajj pilgrims will have a separate departure gate to make their travel procedures more convenient.

There will be free wheelchairs available for pilgrims and the airport will also have 15 paramedic points. Pilgrims can also get a chance to conduct medical check-ups for free.

Pilgrims have been advised to check that their necessary documents for travel are up to date and in order before their travel.

Return flights from the Kingdom to the UAE will be available from Jul. 2 to Jul. 4.
