Check out These Sessions at the 2025 Emirates Lit Fest

If your love for books knows no bounds, visit the 2025 Emirates Literature Festival at the Intercontinental in Dubai Festival City. 

The festival will run from Wednesday, Jan. 29 to Monday, Feb. 3 and here are some must-attend sessions at the Lit Fest:

Women in Leadership

This session is all about women's empowerment and will feature Jessamy Hibberd (The Imposter Cure), Maha Abouelenein (7 Rules of Self-Reliance), and Su Bridgman JD (The CQ Edge). 

These speakers will talk about the challenges and opportunities women face in business. The panel discussion will take place on Friday, Jan. 31 at the Khor Pavilion, Intercontinental, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Abdulrazak Gurnah

The 2021 Nobel Prize Laureate for Literature Abdulrazak Gurnah will speak at the festival on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Story Dunes, Intercontinental in Dubai Festival City, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Chigozie Obioma

The two-time Booker Prize-shortlisted novelist will speak at the festival about his latest novel 'The Road to the Country' on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Al Ras 3, Intercontinental, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Hala Gorani

The Emmy Award-winning journalist Hala Gorani will discuss her book 'You Don't Look Arab' at the festival on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Al Baraha 3, Intercontinental. 

Zoulfa Katouh

The bestselling and award-winning author will discuss her book 'As Long the Lemon Trees Grow' at Al Amwaj, Intercontinental on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

MJ Arlidge 

The best-selling crime author will discuss his journey from a screenwriter to a novelist at Al Ras 3, Intercontinental on Sunday, Feb. 2, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Authority of Artificial Intelligence

Anil Ananthaswamy (Why Machines Learn) and Kelly Clancy (Playing with Reality) will talk about everything related to artificial intelligence (AI) at Al Ras 3, Intercontinental on Sunday, Feb. 2, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Jeff Kinney

The author behind the best-selling series 'The Diary of the Wimpy Kid' will discuss his latest book 'Hot Mess' at Story Dunes, Intercontinental on Sunday, Feb. 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Alison Steadman 

Award-winning English actress Alison Steadman will speak at the festival on Sunday, Feb. 2 at Al Baraha 3 Intercontinental from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
