Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has greenlit the ambitious 'Tasreef' project. This initiative aims to significantly improve Dubai’s rainwater drainage capabilities, ensuring a more sustainable and resilient urban environment.

Project Details and Timeline

The Tasreef project will boost Dubai’s rainwater drainage capacity by 700%, managing over 20 million cubic meters of water daily. Construction begins immediately and is expected to complete by 2033, with the system designed to last a century.
