3-Year-Old Emirati Girl Becomes the World's Youngest Published Author

The year 2024 has just begun, and in a remarkable start, three-year-old Emirati girl AlMaha Rashed AlMheiri has etched her name in the record books by publishing two children's stories — 'The Flower' and 'Honeybee'.

Record-Breaking Sales within 24 Hours

Within 24 hours, AlMaha achieved an extraordinary feat by selling over 1,000 copies of both her books, securing her place as the youngest published female author globally, a distinction acknowledged by the prestigious Guinness World Records.

Official Recognition and Ceremony

The official recognition took place on January 7, 2024, with an official ceremony scheduled later this month to celebrate AlMaha's historic accomplishment.

Instilling Ecological Awareness in Young Minds

AlMaha's mother highlighted her daughter's commitment to instilling ecological awareness in young minds. "AlMaha wanted to convey the importance of ecological preservation to youngsters her age," she said.

Early Literary Skills and Environmental Advocacy

Contrary to the typical learning curve, AlMaha learned how to read and write at the age of 3, impressing those around her with her advanced linguistic abilities. Her interest in environmental conservation blossomed during a visit to COP28 in Dubai last November, where she gained inspiration for her eco-themed stories.

Family Legacy of Achievers

AlMaha hails from a family of young achievers and Guinness World Record holders. Her older sister, Aldhabi, holds the record for being the youngest person to publish a bilingual book at the age of 7 and 360 days, while her brother achieved the record for the youngest male author at the age of 4. Their mother attributes their healthy competition as a driving force behind AlMaha's pursuit of her passion.
