Sheikh Hamdan Launches 'Quran in Every Home' Campaign

As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has introduced two impactful initiatives: the second season of the "Mu'adhin Al-Farij" initiative and the "Qur'an in Every Home" campaign. These programs aim to deepen religious, social, and national values, focusing on engaging families and younger generations.

"Qur'an in Every Home" Campaign

The "Qur'an in Every Home" initiative seeks to provide every household in Dubai with a copy of the Holy Qur'an, encouraging families to recite and reflect on its verses during Ramadan. This campaign emphasizes fostering a culture of faith and making the Qur'an more accessible across the community.

Enhancements to the "Mu'adhin Al-Farij" Initiative

Building on last year’s success, the "Mu'adhin Al-Farij" initiative has been expanded. The second season includes a 50% increase in participating mosques, focusing on children aged 6-14. This program encourages young participants to call the Adhan and perform Taraweeh prayers, strengthening their connection to mosques and deepening their understanding of Islamic practices.

His Highness emphasized the importance of family involvement in instilling Islamic values, national identity, and social principles in the younger generation. By encouraging children to wear traditional attire and adhere to mosque etiquette, the initiative promotes a sense of cultural pride and respect among participants.

Community and Family-Centered Goals

The directives align with Dubai’s vision to foster strong family bonds and community participation. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the crucial role parents play in guiding their children toward correct values and principles. The initiative is designed to strengthen the Emirati family’s role in teaching religious practices and ensuring proper understanding of prayers.

Alignment With Dubai's Social Agenda 33

His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al-Muhairi, Director General of the Department, praised Sheikh Hamdan’s leadership, noting that these initiatives align with Dubai's Social Agenda 33. The agenda focuses on building connected, tolerant families rooted in national identity and values.

The second season of "Mu'adhin Al-Farij" aims to nurture a responsible generation by connecting children with mosques and promoting the beauty of the Adhan as a call to goodness. Families are encouraged to involve children in understanding the Adhan's significance, fostering both religious and community engagement.

Key Dates for Participation

Registration for the "Mu'adhin Al-Farij" initiative opens on January 13, 2025, and submissions will close on February 7, 2025. Evaluations will begin on February 10, 2025, with judges selecting the most promising young talents to represent the initiative’s values.

By focusing on family, faith, and cultural identity, Sheikh Hamdan’s initiatives promise to enrich the spiritual experience of Ramadan while nurturing a generation rooted in Islamic and national values.
