Popular Neighbourhood in Dubai Bans E-Scooters and E-Bikes

Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) in Dubai has introduced a ban on e-scooters and e-bikes to improve safety for both residents and visitors. The Dubai Community Management confirmed this move, aimed at reducing accidents and ensuring a secure environment. Notices around The Walk in JBR now restrict these vehicles on ground and plaza levels.

Increased Regulation and Enforcement

JBR's new rule is part of a broader trend. Last month, Dubai Police seized 640 e-scooters for various violations, including dangerous riding and rule breaches. Additionally, e-scooters are banned on Dubai Metro and tram services to protect public safety.
