How to Apply for the UAE Golden Visa as an Engineer

Are you an engineer who wishes to apply for a golden visa in the UAE but is unsure how to do so? We have the right steps for you to follow.

This Visa is for (Epidemiology and Virology - Artificial Intelligence - Big Data - Computer Engineering - Electronics Engineering - Software Engineering - Electrical Engineering - Genetic Engineering - Biotechnology Engineering.)

You must have specialized talents and researches in many sectors of science and knowledge for a period of (10) years without a sponsor and subject to renewal in order to apply for the (Golden Residency Visa) (granted to applicant and his family member)

The applicant's family with a particular talent is awarded a Golden Visa for the same time as the applicant.

Your must-haves include:

1. Attested degree (bachelor's degree or above), or a letter of equivalence from the Ministry of Education for the academic degree (in the case of the certificate from outside the country).

2. A duplicate of the sponsored residence.

3. A offer of employment in one of the following fields: (Epidemiology and Viruses - Artificial Intelligence - Big Data - Computer Engineering - Electronics Engineering - Software Engineering - Electrical Engineering - Genetic Engineering - Biotechnology Engineering).

You can either apply online or go to the AMER center anywhere in the UAE.

For applying online here are the steps.

1. Download the GDRFA-Dubai application through the authorized stores: Apple store/Play store

2. Register a new user account (in case there is no account registered)

3. Select the required service

4. Attach the required documents

5. Pay the fees due for the service

6. Submit the request

For applying in the AMER center:

1. Head to one of the service branches of the Amer Centers

2. Select the required service at the receptionist

3. Submit the required documents to the service employee

4. Checking documents

5. Pay the fees due for the service

6. Submit application

If there are any missing documents you will be sent a text message or an email and the missing document must be submitted within 30 days otherwise the application will be cancelled.

You will receive an email if your visa is approved or not.

The 10 years golden visa will cost you (2790 AED) for the residency fees (1070 AED) for the ID fees.

The 5 years golden visa will cost you  (2280 AED) for the residency fees and (575 AED) for the ID fees.
