Dubai World Cup 2025 Scheduled for April 5th

The Dubai World Cup, one of horseracing’s most prestigious events, is set to take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025. This 29th edition will serve as the grand finale of an expanded 16-meeting Dubai Racing Carnival, held at the iconic Meydan Racecourse.

Scheduled a week later than usual, this spectacular event coincides with the Eid Al Fitr celebrations across the UAE, promising a week of festivities leading up to the race. The Dubai World Cup will return to its traditional date, the last Saturday of March, in 2026.

The new racing season kicks off on Friday, November 8, with the first major event, 'Festive Friday,' slated for December 20. This feature race day will highlight the AED 1 million G2 Maktoum Mile.

Following that, the Carnival's much-loved 'Fashion Friday' on January 24 will showcase an impressive all-Pattern race card, including the AED 3.68 million G1 Al Maktoum Challenge. Winners of this race will secure their entry into the Dubai World Cup through the ‘Bonus Scheme.’

Mark your calendars for Emirates Super Saturday on March 1, 2025, featuring the G2 Al Maktoum Classic, another pivotal 'win and you're in' race.

"This incredible race meeting has grown year on year since its inception in 1996. We look forward to welcoming the best horses, jockeys, trainers, and owners from around the world to Meydan Racecourse on Saturday, April 5, 2025," said Sheikh Rashed bin Dalmook Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Racing Club. "We are also excited to offer two additional days of racing this season, providing more opportunities for horses both locally and internationally," he added.
