With the new checkpoints in place, drivers should be aware of violations that could lead to hefty fines and penalties:

• No Number Plates: Driving without plates incurs a Dhs3,000 fine and 23 black points.
• Excessive Window Tinting: Tinting beyond the legal limit costs Dhs1,500.
• Reckless Driving: Driving in a way that endangers others can lead to a Dhs3,000 fine and your license being blocked for a year.

Zero Tolerance for DUI
