Dubai Police Give Out 71000 Iftar Meals

During the initial week of Ramadan, Dubai Police distributed 71,850 Iftar meals to motorists as part of the 'Ramadan without Accidents' campaign, aiming to enhance road safety.

The initiative addresses the surge in accidents before Iftar and reckless driving behaviors. Meals are handed out at busy intersections by traffic officers, volunteers, and other entities.

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic, commended the collective efforts and stressed the importance of cautious driving to uphold the sanctity of Ramadan. The campaign involves collaboration with various organizations, including the Department of Traffic Awareness, Emirates Red Crescent, Dubai Charity Association, and Dubai Customs, among others.
