SeaWorld Has Officially Opened Its Doors on Yas Island

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi was inaugurated earlier by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

The star-studded opening celebrations, which took place on May 22, featured unforgettable performances by Emirati superstar Hussain Al Jassmi, Scottish recording artist Red as well as a sensational orchestra of 120 musicians.

Developed through a partnership between Miral and SeaWorld® Parks & Entertainment, the latest theme park on Yas Island has been toured by Sheikh Khaled.

During the visit, Sheikh Khaled received a comprehensive overview of the park's facilities, covering an expansive area of 183,000 square meters. The park aims to provide visitors with a blend of entertainment and educational experiences centered around marine life.

He also paid a visit to the Yas SeaWorld Research and Rescue – the first integrated research, rescue, rehabilitation, return and education center in the MENA region. Sheikh Khaled oversaw the centre’s programmes, which aim to preserve the Arabian Gulf’s marine wildlife, habitats and ecosystems while educating and aspiring a new generation of marine enthusiasts.

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, in addition to providing engaging entertainment, educational opportunities, and family-friendly experiences, offers visitors the chance to enjoy up-close animal encounters and animal presentations. The park also features an array of exciting rides and attractions, along with various dining and shopping options for guests to enjoy.

Joining the lineup of theme parks and attractions on Yas Island, such as Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, and CLYMB™ Abu Dhabi, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is the newest addition to this diverse portfolio. The park is set to open its doors to the public on May 23.
