World Art Dubai 2025: Irina Collins is Reshaping Art with AI

Nowadays, our social media is filled with AI-generated art from out-of-the world libraries to majestic landscapes. Artists are using artificial intelligence and redefining the traditional artistic landscape.

One such individual is the Spain-based contemporary digital artist, Irina Collins, who uses technology to create beautiful digital paintings. She will be showcasing her artwork at World Art Dubai, the largest art fair in MENA, this April.

Art has always been a significant part of Collin’s life, leading her to pursue a Master’s in Creativity. However, AI allowed her to develop her unique artistic style, combining digital brushstrokes with traditional oil painting techniques to capture the beauty of everyday life in a digital format.

“I use digital tools and artificial intelligence to create pieces that evoke emotions and transport the viewer into new visual worlds,” the artist told UAE Moments.

Irina Collins will showcase over 40 artworks at World Art Dubai this year, featuring quaint streets and historical architecture from her hometown Girona. Her artworks will also feature natural beauty such as sunsets at the beach.

“They convey a sense of calm and fleeting beauty that I want to capture in my work,” she said.

AI allowed the Spain-based artist to expand her horizons. “It allows me to explore multiple variations of an idea, test unexpected color combinations, and play with digital textures that mimic traditional techniques,” she explained.

“However, the process remains very personal—each piece originates from a specific inspiration, often drawn from my travels and experiences, and AI helps me take that vision to a new dimension,” Collins argued.

The artist has exhibited her work at various places across Europe, including a gallery in Olot, Spain. People have appreciated her artwork because it features a blend between traditional and digital techniques.

“We are witnessing a revolution where the boundaries between digital and physical art are becoming more fluid,” Collins stated, saying that technology and AI have changed the way artists create art.

Although Irina Collins is a digital artist, “Art remains a deeply human expression. Technology is a tool that expands our creativity, but the soul of art will always come from the artist’s vision and emotions,” she emphasizes.

It is Collins’ first time exhibiting at World Art Dubai, which will run from Apr. 17 to Apr. 20, at Stand No - PB06.
