UAE Residents Attend First Prayers at Abrahamic Family House

The Abrahamic Family House welcomed its first congregations to its mosque, synagogue, and church over the weekend at Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi.

The inaugural Friday prayer was held at Ahmed El Tayeb Mosque on February 17th, which was the first time that UAE residents entered one of the three places of worship of the family house.

The Moses Ben Maimon Synagogue held its first service on Sunday, February 19th. The service began with the hanging of the Mezuzah followed by Mincha (afternoon prayer).

The Francis Church also held its service on the same day conducted by Cardinal Michael Fitzgerald, which featured prayers and hymns sung by a choir. The service ended with a message from Bishop Paolo Martinelli, the Apostolic Vicar for Southern Arabia.

The family house opened its doors to worshippers on February 16th while visitors will have access to the family house's forum and guided tours from March 1st. No tickets are required for entry to the family house.
