UAE Rejects Israeli Map as Violation of International Law

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned the publication of an alleged "historic Israel" map by official accounts affiliated with the Israeli government. The map includes parts of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. The UAE sees this move as a deliberate attempt to expand the occupation and a clear violation of international law.

In an official statement, the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed its firm rejection of actions aimed at altering the legal status of the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The UAE also denounced all measures that contradict international resolutions, calling them provocative and harmful to peace efforts in the region.

The MoFA emphasized that such actions not only escalate tensions but also hinder efforts to establish peace and stability in the Middle East. The UAE believes that these actions undermine the peace process and threaten the future of the two-state solution, which envisions the creation of an independent Palestinian state.

The UAE also called on the United Nations (UN) and the UN Security Council to take swift action to address these violations. The Ministry urged both bodies to work towards resolving long-standing regional conflicts and support initiatives aimed at achieving peace and security for all nations in the region.

The UAE reiterated that regional peace is vital for sustainable stability, security, and the fulfillment of the aspirations of the people. This, the Ministry highlighted, includes comprehensive development and dignity for every citizen in the region.

The UAE remains steadfast in its support for peace efforts and the pursuit of a just and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The country continues to call for international cooperation to end illegal practices that hinder the establishment of an independent Palestinian state and contribute to regional unrest.
