UAE Ranks 4th Worldwide in Infrastructure Quality

The recently released Global Competitiveness Report 2023, presented at the World Economic Forum in Davos, highlights the UAE's impressive achievement as it secures the fourth position worldwide in infrastructure quality. The report underscores the substantial efforts, strategic planning, and investments made by the UAE government to develop and enhance the country's infrastructure.

Government Investments and Ongoing Projects

Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, emphasized the government's commitment to infrastructure development, citing an investment of AED 13 billion over the past decade for the execution of 258 projects. Looking ahead, a comprehensive plan outlines the construction of 127 security, educational, service, and road projects for AED 9 billion in the next five years. Notably, 2023 alone witnessed the completion, maintenance, and efficiency enhancement of government service buildings, amounting to over AED 1.5 billion.

Acknowledging Collaborative Efforts

Expressing gratitude for the achievement, Al Mazrouei acknowledged the collaborative efforts of various government agencies, both federal and local. The success, he emphasized, is the result of joint integrated work that reflects the commitment of all stakeholders involved.
