UAE Evacuates 127 Injured People From Gaza Safely

The United Arab Emirates carried out its 23rd evacuation flight on Tuesday, collaborating with the World Health Organization (WHO) to rescue 55 critically injured people and patients from the Gaza Strip. Among those evacuated were children and cancer patients requiring urgent and specialized treatment. Accompanying them were 72 family members, ensuring they received care and support during their journey.

A Lifesaving Initiative by UAE Leadership

This humanitarian effort is part of an initiative spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, launched in October 2023. The program aims to provide advanced medical care for 1,000 children and 1,000 cancer patients from Gaza in UAE hospitals. To date, the initiative has facilitated the safe arrival of 2,254 patients and family members in the UAE.

This mission highlights the UAE's unwavering dedication to aiding Palestinians in Gaza amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis. By offering critical medical assistance, the UAE reaffirms its commitment to standing by the Palestinian people in their time of need.

Healthcare Efforts on the Ground and Beyond

In addition to the evacuation flights, the UAE has established vital healthcare facilities for Palestinians. The UAE's field hospital in southern Gaza has treated over 50,489 cases since it began operations on December 2, 2023. Moreover, a hospital ship anchored at Al-Arish Port since February 2024 has provided medical care to 8,597 cases.

Beyond Medical Care: Extensive Humanitarian Aid

The UAE's support extends beyond medical care. Approximately 50,000 tonnes of critical aid, including food, medical supplies, and essential relief items, have been delivered to the Palestinian people. These efforts aim to alleviate the dire conditions faced by those affected by the ongoing crisis.
