The United Arab Emirates has sent Monkeypox vaccines to five African nations—Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nigeria, South Africa, Côte d'Ivoire, and Cameroon—in a bid to help control the spread of the virus.

This move aligns with the directives of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and underscores the nation's commitment to global humanitarian efforts.

Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, emphasized the UAE’s dedication to supporting global healthcare initiatives, stating, “This support highlights the UAE's crucial role in enhancing global humanitarian and healthcare efforts, reaffirming our commitment to assisting nations in times of crises.”

He further noted, “The initiative reflects the UAE’s ongoing dedication to humanitarian values, extending a helping hand to communities affected by crises around the world.”
