The UAE government has officially declared a one-week holiday for its public sector employees, effective from Monday, April 8. This announcement brings joy to federal government workers who will enjoy an extended break until Sunday, April 14, inclusive. Following this festive period, regular working hours are set to resume on Monday, April 15.

The commencement of the holiday on April 8 remains consistent irrespective of the moon sighting, aligning with the principles of the Islamic calendar. Ramadan spans either 29 or 30 days, contingent upon the lunar observation. Eid Al Fitr, celebrated on the first day of Shawwal, follows immediately after Ramadan's conclusion.
