Sheikha Bodour Wins the 2025 Bologna Ragazzi Award

The Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority, Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, won the prestigious 2025 Bologna Ragazzi Award.

Sheikha Bodour won the award in the Fiction category at the 2025 Bologna Children's Book Fair for her book 'The House of Wisdom', which was published by Kalimat Group.

By receiving this award, Sheikh Bodour had become the first woman from the Gulf region to win this prestigious award.

'The House of Wisdom' is set during the Abbasid Caliphate during the Islamic Golden Age. It is about the Caliph Harun Al Rashid, who built a library in Baghdad.

However, war led to the destruction of the library, with its writings and works lost in the Tigris River.

The story reminds its readers about building a new House of Wisdom and protecting its wealth of knowledge for future generations.
