Sheikh Zayed Festival Unveils Exciting New Year’s Eve Plans

The Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba is pulling out all the stops for New Year’s Eve 2025, promising a jaw-dropping celebration with fireworks, drone shows, and cultural performances.

The Supreme Organising Committee has revealed plans to break six Guinness World Records, ensuring an unforgettable night for attendees.

Festivities kick off at 2 PM with vibrant traditional performances, including Al Ayala, Al Razfa, and Al Naddba. Over 600 performers will entertain visitors across the Heritage Village Square and participating country pavilions. Meanwhile, families can enjoy a massive 130-game amusement park and special activities at the Kids’ Theater.

As the evening progresses, hourly fireworks displays will begin at 6 PM, leading up to the grand finale at midnight—a spectacular 53-minute fireworks show designed to set new records for duration and creativity.

Adding to the magic, 6,000 drones will light up the skies from 11:40 PM, including 3,000 forming the world’s largest drone image and a celebratory "HAPPY NEW YEAR" message.

To enhance the experience, 3,000 square meters of digital screens will broadcast the festivities across the venue. For those unable to attend in person, large outdoor screens will stream the celebration live.

Festival gates open at 2 PM, and visitors are encouraged to secure tickets early, as entry will close once capacity is reached.

Ring in 2025 at the Sheikh Zayed Festival and be part of a celebration that blends tradition, innovation, and a record-breaking spectacle.
