Sheikh Zayed Festival to Host Over 6,000 Cultural Events

The Sheikh Zayed Festival 2024-2025 is gearing up to take place in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi, running from November 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025. This annual festival highlights the UAE’s rich heritage, offering a variety of entertainment and cultural activities for both locals and tourists.

Under Royal Patronage

The event is held under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with the continued guidance of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. Additionally, Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President and Chairman of the Festival’s Higher Organising Committee, is overseeing the event's operations. This year’s theme, ‘Hayakum,’ meaning ‘Welcome’ in Arabic, introduces a fresh vision for the festival.

Thousands of Events Shows and Exhibitors

The Festival’s Higher Organising Committee has announced an extensive lineup, with over 6,000 international cultural events and more than 1,000 performances planned. Visitors can also expect to see over 30,000 exhibitors and participants from 27 countries, with several nations joining for the first time. These exhibitors will showcase their culture through unique pavilions and sections throughout the festival grounds.

Major Public Events

Among the standout attractions, the festival will feature the "Union Parade," a significant celebration symbolizing the unity and strength of the UAE’s people. This parade honors the legacy of the UAE's Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and emphasizes the importance of preserving national heritage.

With so much to offer, the Sheikh Zayed Festival is expected to attract millions of visitors over its four-month run, solidifying its place as one of the UAE's largest cultural events.
