Sheikh Mohammed Reveals Best and Worst UAE Government Services 2023

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President of the UAE and Dubai's ruler, conducted an annual review of government services across the country. This inspection covered approximately 124 services provided through various avenues like ministries’ buildings, call centers, and digital platforms.

Best and Worst Performers

Services like the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship and the Ministry of Interior in Al Dhafra Centre were commended for their exceptional performance. However, the evaluation also revealed underperforming service centers, including Kalba Hospital and the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure in Ras Al Khaimah. To address this, changes in management have been initiated, such as replacing the director of Kalba Hospital with the Director General of the Emirates Health Foundation.

Improvement Period

Sheikh Mohammed has granted a 60-day grace period to the lowest-rated services to enhance their performance. A subsequent evaluation will determine if further management adjustments are necessary.

Ensuring Quality Services

Highlighting that quality government services are a right for the people, Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of positive engagement with the public. This evaluation, part of the Global Star Rating System for Services, aims to ensure that UAE government services adhere to international standards.
