Sheikh Hamdan Announces Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence

The "Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence" has been launched by Dubai at Emirates Towers, AREA 2071, according to a tweet shared on Thursday by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.

Dubai has established a special center for Artificial Intelligence with the goal of helping government organizations incorporate innovative technologies across major sectors.

The newly formed entity intends on teaching 1,000 people from more than 30 government departments ways to use generative artificial intelligence.

“I have directed the formation of task forces at all Dubai government entities to develop AI (artificial intelligence)-driven applications that will enable us to develop innovative government projects and expedite our digital transformation," Sheikh Hamdan said.

“Dubai aims to be a world leader harnessing the power of AI and other advanced technologies to provide public sector services," he further added.
