Sharjah Announces New Paid Parking Hours Starting Nov 1

Sharjah has announced changes to its paid parking hours, effective November 1. Motorists will now need to pay for parking from 8 AM to midnight, extending the previous hours of 8 AM to 10 PM. This change affects the seven-day parking zones marked by blue signs throughout the city.

Extended Hours for Blue Zones

The updated parking schedule means that the 16-hour paid parking zones will be in effect every day, including public holidays. Sharjah City Municipality confirmed that the aim of these extended hours is to enhance parking efficiency and ensure better availability of parking spaces for everyone.

Clear Markings and Instructions

Parking spots in Sharjah are easily identified by blue and white curb markings, along with signage that outlines the usage rules and fees. This initiative is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to improve urban management and cater to the needs of residents and visitors alike.

Flexible Subscription Options

For regular users, Sharjah offers prepaid parking subscriptions as an alternative to daily fees. These plans provide greater flexibility for individuals and businesses. Subscribers can choose a personal plan that covers all of Sharjah or specific areas, while businesses can select a city-wide plan. The subscription fees are as follows:

Commercial Parking for All Areas in Sharjah

- 10 days: Dh170

- 20 days: Dh290

- 30 days: Dh390

- 3 months: Dh1,050

- 6 months: Dh1,750

- 12 months: Dh2,850

Commercial Parking for Two Areas

- 3 months: Dh600

With these changes, Sharjah aims to provide a more efficient parking experience for its residents and visitors. The new hours and flexible subscription options are designed to meet the needs of a growing city while ensuring that parking remains accessible to everyone.
