Shah Rukh Khan Hospitalized Due to Heat Stroke, Dehydration

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was hospitalized on Wednesday, May 22, due to severe dehydration and heatstroke, according to KD Hospital officials in Ahmedabad. The actor had been in the city for the IPL play-off match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Hospitalization After Match Celebrations
After the match, Khan and his team stayed at ITC Narmada Hotel in Ahmedabad, where they were warmly welcomed. However, by the next morning, Khan's condition worsened, leading to his hospitalization around 1 PM IST. Currently, his health is stable, but doctors have advised him to rest.

Family and Friends Visit Shah Rukh Khan
Later in the day, Khan's wife Gauri Khan, businessman Jay Mehta, and actress Juhi Chawla visited him at the hospital. The actor had celebrated KKR's victory on Tuesday night with his children Suhana and AbRam Khan, joining the fans in the stadium to cheer for the team as they advanced to the IPL 2024 finals.
High Temperatures in Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad, like many parts of India, is experiencing extreme heat, with temperatures soaring to 45 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the city due to the intense heatwave.
