Saif Ali Khan is 'Out of Danger' After Being Stabbed

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan has had his surgery and is now 'out of danger' after being stabbed multiple times early on Thursday during an attempted burglary in his Mumbai home.

His sister, Saba Ali Khan, shared an update on social media, saying, "He is currently in recovery and the doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe and the police [are] investigating the incident."

Mumbai Police revealed that it seemed that the attacker was related to the domestic help who was being questioned by the police.

The chief executive of Lilavati Hospital Niraj Uttamani said, "Saif Ali Khan was brought to Lilavati Hospital at 3:30 a.m. with six injuries, two of which are deep. One of the injuries is near his spine."

Khan's wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan's team, said, "Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in hospital undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is fine. We request fans and the media … avoid speculation as the police investigate. Thank you for your concern.”
