Shahi Tukda is a dessert that is popular in the Indian subcontinent and it is made of bread, sugar syrup, milk and nuts. This sweet dish is an ideal dessert for iftar because its sweetness improves energy levels after a tiring day of fasting and its soft and creamy is a treat to the taste buds.

Shahi Tukda Ingredients
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 1/2 tsp rose water
Sugar Syrup Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups milk
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch saffron
- 20 almonds, soaked in water and chopped

- Shahi Tukda Preparation
تم نسخ الرابطToast bread slices. Soak saffron strands in 2 tbsp of hot milk.
- Make Rabdi
تم نسخ الرابطBlend almonds with 3 tbsp sugar, cardamom powder, and 1/4 cup milk in a blender to make a smooth paste. Add the paste to 3 1/2 cups of milk and boil on a low flame until it thickens. Set aside to cool.
- Make Sugar Syrup
تم نسخ الرابطMix sugar with water and boil in a saucepan until it thickens. Add rose essence and mix it properly with the syrup.
- Make Shahi Tukda and Serve
تم نسخ الرابطCut toasted bread slices diagonally and soak in sugar syrup, then place them on a serving plate. Pour rabdi over the bread and garnish with nuts and serve.
